Don't "skip" the refreshments -
If the youngsters at the food concessions seem enthusiastic, it's because they're working for a worthy cause. They're all members of the Bayside Skippers, Brewster's nationally acclaimed jumprope team, which shares in the proceeds at Whitecaps home games this season. Comprised of 65 athletes from grades 3-10, the Skippers demonstrate their amazing jumping proficiency to promote fitness and health on behalf of the American Heart Association and the Red Auerbach Foundation throughout the northeast. That means a lot of travel, and that takes money. So have another hot dog. And watch how these kids jump! -
